Skateboarding helps with balance, style, creativity as well as a myriad of other stuff. Rollerblading helps more but not everyone can handle being an individual.

Hey I am not saying Tanner is bad at skiing not at all, just saying is he has no idea what he is talking about, and skateboarding balance is nothing like skiing...So again I am a upset fruit booter, Hall is a great skiier just needs to rethink some things

it helsps with balance alot,and im guessing it would help with landing,if you do big drops on skate your legs will get stronger amking your landings on skis easier,thats my theory

hmm... candide, tanner, (and many others) all good skateboarders. I guess its just a coincidence that they happen to be at the top of the sport. To me, balance is balance.. no matter if you're on a skateboard or a pair of skis.

Of course skateboarding would help with your skiing, shit even DH mountain biking helps with your skiing alot, basically any other sport that requires the same mindset helps your skiing.

Oh god. you people are dumb. Inline skating is like skiboarding, not skiing. the only sport that comes close to felling like skiing is Dh/freeride Mt biking. dont tell me elsewise, cause it is. also, who cares if tanner wants to skate? he says he likes thier style. not that it helps with his skiing. Skating kicks ass, all forms of it, like street, vert, downhill, cruzing with soul, its all good, and stop telling people to rollerblade. if they wanted to do so, they would be out fruitbooting.

what? im sorry but skiboarding and skiing are the same things just skiboarding has smaller boards, are u gonna make a new sport for people that ride 210s? no, crusing groomers is more diffrent from twin tip skiing then skiboarding is but u dont see people mocking the people with longer skis and dont go big so why mock the people with shorter skis? just cause they dont enjoy riding big skis doesnt mean there gay and/or takes diffrent skills...
so i would say rollerblading would help regular sized skiing just as much as snowblading...

Like said before, balance is balance. It really doesn't matter what your on (skis, skateboard, fruitboots, surfboard, a tightrope, whatever.) My theory is its harder to balance on a skateboard, then skates, so your balance improves more, or at least a greater speed.

i think skates more similar to skiing than snowboarding because your feet in skiing are less attached/more independent than on a snowboard. for proof of candide and tanner, look at Tanner's happy dayz interview and Candides intro in Strike 3. hmmmm... two best, steeziest skiers out there, killing mini-ramp.

I don't know why you guys had to start bashing rolling, no one was making fun of skateboarding. I think what the guy was trying to say was that they're just going along with skateboarding because it's popular, whatever sport you get some influence from is fine. If you think fruit-booting is gay or stupid, at least check some pros out, isuggest watching WORDS. Skiiers of all people should know not to make fun of a sport that is less popular, because there are quite a few more snowboarders then freeskiiers. People who skate do it for fun, not because it's popular and not because they want money, the majority of skateboarders are posers, they make fun of fruit-booting so that they don't get made fun of. If rolling was more popular you guys would be out here talking about how you hated wood-pushers and all they do is bail and pretend as if they can do tricks.

i'm prety sure there aren't any other sports out there that r like skiing. because in skiing ur sliding very quickly down a mt. with my terrain changes in front of you (i.e.-moguls,jump,etc..) maybe dh mt biking like the dude said b4 but still think about it...or maybe dh fruit booting go try that u dumb fucks
