Hey does anybody out there like to longboard? I was going to buy my first one real soon and was wondering what kind of dimensions and wheels are ideal or if it even matters?
i have a loaded board, flex 5, its made for like 120lb kids, i like it because its so flexy... i got well i forget what bearings are inthere but i got the best ones.. wheels not a big deal really... but i recommend looking at Loaded longboards.
yeah right...wheels don't matter, until you're laying over a turn at close to 25 miles per hour and you loose traction in the back and go skipping across the pavement like a ragdoll. Like someone above said, wheels, bearings and trucks are the most important parts of your board, i'm on 80mm abec 11 fly wheels with bones reds bearings and randall trucks. They're dope. The actual deck is just a piece of plywood with some fiberglass in it, unless you're getting a loaded or landyachtz dh race they'll all perform about the same depending on flex, stiffer = more stable, softer = quicker turnier, just like skis.
i kinda wanna buy one. id mostly jsut be pushing though. cause we onlyhave like one good hill here in oakwood. and its only like 300 feet maybe. any suggestions??
landyyachtz the Chief and a flexdex slalom 30.
both have siesmic avila 68mm wheels, i have a set of extra softs and medium. 72a and 80a i think. with bone swiss ceramics bearings, and gullwing alpine trucks with marshmallow bushings
