hey yo, right now i have 165 tm's for park im 5'5 and 125 lbs...im looking for something with a wider waist for more stable landings, and something that will rip crud, groomers, and pow. i want something pretty soft tho too. i was thinkin 4frnt msp or vct, seth vicious or maden, line elizabeths, bacons, or chron wides...or if you have any other suggestions let me know..also wat length would be best for bc and occasional park (only jumps, no rails)
for how small you are the armada arv would be perfect, you should get them in 175 or smaller if they come smaller, the chronics would be to wide, aldo the seth vicious are probably the best skiis in this category, you can get them in 169 which would suit you well, or 179 if you like a bigger ski....all in all id go with the vicious
4frnt msp or vct, seth vicious or madens ar all pretty stiff, the difference between 175 and 179 for ARV's would only be like an inch or two. you could definately grow into 179s or go with 169's and be fine
if you more of a turner than a straightliner go maden in a 179 mounted +5 or if you like higher speeds and more stability go gotamas in a 183-they ski a lot shorter
the arv is just about as soft as skiis come, which would be good for such a light skier, also k2 sizes skiis a little different, 169 are actually about 164-165 and 179 would be about 174-175 cm, the lenght is actually if they were completely flat with no tips, like a pancake
well i'll do lots of bc with them and i might use em in the park. for jumps only. is that +5 from recomended or true center. i gotta make sure the cuz the shop i will have them mounted at is a bit nooby.
dont get them mounted true center, id go with the skiis recommended mounting point, besides that i dont know much about mounting spot names and such so maybe someone else will help you out
i've got the 175 arv, i'm about 160 lbs i think, they ski great but the topsheet chips much easier than my mad trix, but then again the mad trix are bombproof, so that's expected. i love my arvs in powder, crud, groomers, and everywhere else unless it's really icy. oh, and they're mounted recommended in case ur wondering.
