Crazyness!
I'm up near St. Helena up on a hill overlooking the valley and its snowing up here on my campus, and starting to stick. Apparently its quite rare here. If there is any actual accumulation theres a ton of rails that I am dying to hit!

pretty sure the santa cruz (Surf City, U.S.A.) moutains will see snow tonight, the plows will be out on 17 tomorrow morning. I'm wishing my spring was this coming week rather than two weeks, hopefully the weather pattern stays the same.

Dude, I live in Antioch, We got like a foot on top of Mount Diablo and then it rained and got warm and all the snow is gone now.
But shit.. That would be sick if the weather got ridiculus and it dumped in San Francisco or something... The biggest urban jibfest ever...
Not to mention skiing on Mount Tamalpias, there would be such sick ass lines up there oh my god... It would make AK look like a playground.

Antioch, California.
Its really shitty for skis though, everything is about snowboarding and race skis of course.
There are only 2 pairs of twins in the entire place too... A pair of ARV's and A pair of AR5's. Both from 2004.
Not to mention, all their jackets and pants are made by snowboarding companies. Hella Burton, Hella 686, Hella Bonfire. No Siver, No Helly Hansen, Nothing like that. They dont even have Oakley. Its pathetic.
I have talked to my boss about it, he says he cant do shit lol.
Whatev.
Which one do you work at?

i work at store 1. la canada.
we have a separate ski shop from the regular store, and a damn good selection. we have arvs, ar5s, t-halls, jp vs. juliens, public enemys, vicious, foils, thrusters, guns, invaders, used to have skogens and pollards last year... uhh... that's pretty much it. next year we'll be brining in a lot more shit.
and guess what bro... sc corporate is right down the street and they came in and told us they are going to need people for the new edge shops. freestyle snowboards, twin tips, skateboards, shit like that. plasma tvs with ski movies, play stations with amped 3, employees wear untucked blue shirts, it's a whole new vibe. first store is opening in anaheim over summer, and there should be 4 strategically placed edge shop by fall 06. word.

Damn I need to move to So. Cal or something. Freeskiing is much bigger down there. Up here in Tahoe I still get people asking if I do that "hot dogging" kind of skiing... and they always wonder why my tips are "curled" at the back.
Its pathetic. Tahoe people are stuck up and old school.
Racers... pssh.

belive me man, I have asked. They said that they shouldnt because they cant even sell the skis that they already have.
Its mainly because they are trying to sell 2 year old models for 450. Far too much.

Don't forget me.......Although I do most of my skiing tahoe. Mt high sucks too much and my course load is too heavy for frequent trips to mammoth.

Go to Bear Mtn. Way more skiers than Mt. High.
Either way, the best place of them all in So. Cal is Baldy on a 14 inch powder day...
Damn bro.
All times are Eastern (-5)
