i really hate when there little kids in the park, especally when they are stupid enough to hit the big stuff. i saw some like 9 year old ruin himself yesturday on the last jump at killington. i say thre need to be a "you must be this tall to ride the park sign" outside everypark
its a huge problem here. instructors take there kids through the half pipe, 2 feet up the wall
parents stand on the landing of the biggest jump to watch there kids hit the small ones. then yell at you when you almost hit them
the kids who actually try shit are usually pretty cool and more power to them. The kids that piss me off are th gay rental kids who suck ass and just cruise around the park and get in the way and yell and shit
i was riding our crappy halfpipe last year and this kid was out of control going staight down the middle and hit me. I pulled some muscle in my leg and the kids dad got all pissed at me because i was riding back and forth down the halfpipe.
yeh man all the kids around ehre are either throwing back to back 7s on jumps(tiny jumps) or are standing on teh fucking lip with their parents, or my personal favorite, either swerving across the whole hill, cutting off as many people as possible, or going p the lip with no speed, and sliding back down, ruining the lip in the process
oh good story. About a week ago im in line to go up our parks poma lift, this 6 year old and his dad are standing infront of me and have 20+ feet infront of them and wont budge. so i just skate around them and cut infront. the guy goes "HEY BUDDY, where do you think you're going" i say "apparently where you wont go buddy " the guy looks at me and sais " get in the back of the line NOW " i look at him, laugh a bit and then say " sir, are you planning to bring your kid into the park, ski extremly slowly onto all the knolls, and cheer while your kid goes halfway up the jump and slides back down? then go behind him and support him while you ski down the landing cutting back and fourth just asking to get landed on by someone who can actually ski park?"
then i say "sir our mountain supplies you with a mini park so you can learn to actually ski park a bit before you come in here make a fool of yourself and get in the way, so please go there and once you can slide every one of there rails and clear every one of there jumps, you are more than welcome here." the guy looks at me. and then just stands there. he proceeds to get on the lift as we watch his son fall of 3 or 4 times. they finally manage to get to the top of the park and do EXACTLY what i said they would. i proceeded hit the 40 footer his son had just slid down spin a quite nice 5. yes i felt good about it. i got to the bottom and a bunch of snowboarders came up to me and one of them hugged me. i felt like i had made our park a safer and more park rider friendly place. the end.
some kid rental kid came flying throught the park in a tuck turning all over the place randomly screaming ODOYLE RULES....repeatedly...like not even twice....again and again and agian..and...i think u get it
good story i usually just make comments to parents/kids from either teh lfit, or at the the bottom of the hill...as first i used to be xtremly rude and shit, but now i just get so pissed off, i just give them the dl on whats up...but yeh man good job that was perfect
ok, so here, at my hill, the asains are worse then the little kids, with apperently less common sence. so i was just giv'n er the whole hill so i could get speed for the one jump.(small hill) anyway, i am in the air and i look at the landing, and i see there is a chinaman standing on the landing WITHOUT SKIIS ON! so right away my stumach dropped and i turned almost 90 in the air, landed in a turn, and missed him by no more then 6 inches. if i had gone a little faster i woulda made a chinaman on a stick.
godamn thats a huge problem here at smuggs. i was ending my run in this mini trail where they put up some rails ad stuff, i was just checking it out. kids were just hangout out there. i watched an instructor take alike 20 7 year olds through teh park. he went and ran over a kicker, ruining the lip, and told teh otehr kids to do it also. i watcehd them sname down teh trail ruining the kcikers and stuff. but......i gota good laugh out of this. there was a rail set up with a really high kicker and you couldnt see the rail. soo 20 little kids thought it was just a little jump and went on to it repeatedly landing on the rail and owning themselves. haha like a snake they just kept coming. ahahaahahaaaaa.
haha they do that at killington too. the pipe at killington is like a tourist attraction. all the instructers bring the kids thru there, and all the herbs gather there. i swear, we call it a tourist attraction
yeah. if i do manage to become park staff, my plan is to put a big canal running around the park, so you gotta hit a jump to get into the park, and if you dont clear it you get eatin by alagators and shit
i wont really care if theyre above 12(for maturity reasons) but heres the catch. they have to consider everyone else around. dont stand on jumps, behind them, infront of them. and dont cut people off or jump inf ront of people. i understand that there just learning fs, cause i am, but dont be a dick to everyone and have some common manners.
Keystone has one of my favorite parks, but it seems like everytime I have been there this year I have had to watch out for myself while going through the rail section. There are so many people that think its so cool that they are in the park, and that they can hit mach 10 and go off the sides of the jumps onto the rails. The best time of my life had to be though when this one guy did it off the side of the s rail jump, and caught the side of his ski or something on the s rail, fell face first, flipped over and had a total yardsale. It was hilarious.
here in big white, we have a MASSIVE gaper/kid problem, happens at least a million times a day where theres like a group of 5 people waiting to hit the jumps and some gaper runs through and like pile drives himself into the deck. im not usually a mean person but i sometimes end up yelling and shouting and swearing at them. its also happened a few times this season where me or one of my friends have almost KILLED someone because they were in the landing. another thing is when they pop out of like somewhere else then think they can hit the jump so they head towards it from the side and then your there about to hit the jump. i hate gaper/kids
i did that too.
the kid had snaked in front of me on a flat rail and crashed. i of corse was still on it and my skis took him out. my edge gave him a gash about 2 inches long on the cheek. turns out he needed stiches
at copper the ski school only takes the kids through the beginner park and tells the kids repeatedly to not use the lips to rails as jumps, which is pretty good
Last year some kid cut across the landing of a table and some guy I skiied with landed on the little idiots leg and broke it..... stupid dumb ass little kids, they have no idea what they are doing. Like at skateparks I'll be skating and some little 6 year old comes along with his little walmart board and can't do jack all. And they'll just like sit on the bos your hitting or stand on it and you just stare at them and they have no idea what they are doin.
The worst thing are bad snowboarders. So heres the story its n* in the small park and im hiking a jump. I get up to the top of the hill and i proceed to through a 3 of a little jump. So i fall and 2 seconds after i fall this snowboarder barely misses me. Dumbshits.
^thats wat happned to me, haha except my friend hit me. i went of a jump, bailed. got up real fast to retrieve my skis ,my friend comes flying over, tries to stop, takes me out at the knees. i instantly hit the ground. it was the hardest impact i have ever felt
whats nice about the resort I go to is that they have 3 20 ft jumps in the middle and all the kids that suck hit those and make the landings super icey, then as there is a "40" and a "25" that the little kids dont hit and the landing is hardly ever ice. but anyways back to the point of kids in the park.... so last year i was riding in the park with my friends and yes i sucked but not as bad as the other kids and i could actually clear everything i hit, they had a 20ft jump and 3 cornices on the side of the hill that was a good 40 ft tall and you could just about stop on top and jump and youd drop a good 10 ft. but as we were waiting for a few idiot kids that were "trying to fix the lip" I looked over to see a dad and his 5 year old kid bombing the whole hill on the side with the cornice`s... the kid hits the first one going pretty fast gaps about 30 ft into where it goes from flat up to the next cornice his dad was yelling at him and screaming and me and my friends went down to talk to him he was totally bitching the kid out after he had taken his kid down the hill. The fun police later came up the hill and as it turns out the kid broke both his legs clean through. and that is why idiots that cant ride park shouldnt be able to ride down it. they should have some sort of "grading" so to speak where you can only ride the park that you can hit and then have a purely beginners park with 5 and 10 foot jumps with a shitload of boxes and then just step it up with 2 other parks like most places
ya, fucking chink herbs try to do rails and shit and fall right in the lanings and don't get up.
snowboarders do the same. he was just lying in front of the landing. i was waiting and waiting , and finnaly i just hit him.
At summit at snoqualmie early er this year, we had a 40-50ft table and the take off was about 7 ft off the ground and some little girl decides to try it and her mom lets her while her little brother just skis around the take off. Then the little girl ends up strading the take off with one leg on the take off part and the other hanging down twords the ground, (the park staff knows people do stupid things like that so the take off slopes back down to the table afterter the lip). then the girl takes about two minutes two get down off the lip and the family is just standing there underneath the lip so I just went over them and when I landed the mom came over and yelled at me for being un safe, then i pointed out that she just let her five year old girl try and do a 40-50ft jump and hurt the take off of the jump. That could put a rut in it that would result in some one really hurting them selves, then she just said that the jump was not made to be 50ft and that you were only suposed to go up the one sid of the take off and down the other.
i hate that shit. i've had that happen so many times. i've had parents get really mad at me for telling them to not ski in the park if they can't. last year a kid ran into a friend of mine, all over his board, ripped his snowpants and then the dad came down and started yelling at my friend. fucking dick. we almost got in a fight with that dude.
