Raichle Flexons are still popular with people who like softer boots cause there design lets them have a softer forward flex while still being laterally stiff, what is now accomplished by making conventional looking boots with a bi-injected shell...

i'd buy those in a second if they fit me
flexons have a cult following
their flex pattern is unmatched among new 2-piece boots (other than the kryptons)

I wouldn't go so far as to say flexons are soft. It depends on what tongues you have in them, which range from soft to super stiff.
It's the flex pattern that makes them uniqie for sure.

^maybe so but they are still softer in their stiffest form than equivalent race boots, I used to rock the last version they made for a year or so of racing and I had extra powerstraps on em to stiffen em up... The flex pattern is great though

Well, generally speaking, you are on a freeride site, so talk of race boots is rare.
Flexons aren't that soft in comparison to most park/freeride boots often discussed on here.
Last I checked, plug boots aren't too hot an item 'round here.

I think K2 owns all or most of the Flexon molds now.

The boots were too big for me. My foot is 28cm long, and I wear a 10.5 running shoe. I'd say these are more like a men's size 11.

they can be soft or stiff, all depends on what tongue you use in them.
All I know is that they are an excellent boot with a devoted cult following.

Yeah, I bought some two years ago that were the the last ones made by Raichle, then Kneissl made the flexons for one year before they quite, if I ever see any on ebay, Im gonna buy them just so I have a pair for the rest of my life.

The stiffest flexon tongue with the high cuff is actualy as stiff and langes plug boot, so to say the flexons are soft in all of their makes is just wrong.
Flexons in my opinion are the best boot ever made, switching out liners and such they can literaly fit every foot type and their flex is second to none. Just by switching the tongue you can go from soft as a touring boot, to stiff as a race boot...its really quite ridiculous. The only problem with them really is that raichle is a cheapass company and could never figure out how to make a buckle that wouldn't break. Hopefully k2 does something with the molds because they are an excelent boot that just needs some small improvements, some of which the kryptons have picked up on some of which they havent (weight in particular).
