Hurrai now there are enough Mac users to not make virus making on the Mac a waste of time.
I really hope AVG makes it over to the MAC because Norton is shit and I plan on getting a Macbook pro sometime this year and I really dont want to have to use that piece of shit app

Its not only the fact that more people have them now, its the fact that they are now going to be running on Intels. That means current virii and spyware can be ported much easier.

no the viruses I am talking about run in the OSX it doesnt matter wether the processor is X86, X86-64,or power PC. no matter what language the processor understands if its running OSX the virus will affect it. the problem with viruses has never been the processor its always been about the operating system.

Yeah, the number of users is not what's holding back the OS X viruses. It's the security inherent in a working permissions system.

Unix has its advantages but it has its weeknesses and loopholes. and if dedicating the time and effort to find them was worth it (in terms of people that they would reach) hackers would be getting them left and right.
