why do you even speak? the arvs are the softest ski ski i have ever flexed, way softer than even the invader. teh SV flex is exact same as a PE.

the motherships have a really gay graphic though, so i would def go with the vicious

hah why am i an idiot? because im right? i own both skis and the flex between the PE and SV is pretty much the same, it isnt by any means "way softer". if you think the vicious is softer than the PE your getting the vicious confused with the older seth pistol.
the ARV is way too soft for any kind of all mountain riding unless you weigh 130lbs or under

I had the same problem, ARV or SETH i fillaly settled on the Seths as they are stiffer fatter and ski the groomers better i also got the 07's and have had no problems i just love em. Stehs in 179 mounted +5 or 6 depending what you want to ski more if its Pow then +3 or 4 but mainly park then +5 or 6. Werd

arv's are pretty fucking soft... have u ever flex'd an one, It is definitely the most flexiest all mountain ski there is, riding those things and leaning back u feel like ur going to fucken fall over, then again im 195lbs, so if your a big guy do not buy the arv, if your 130-160 range they would prolly be perfect

The ARV is a noodle. A light and sexy noodle, but still a noodle. The vicious is pretty heavy, but much stiffer. Completely different skis in my opinion.

so.....the ARV is very soft, yes. its in fact one of the softer skis ive flexed. it fits lighter riders, and is a sick ski in bc kickers. heavier riders are better off looking at the JP/Julien or even the ANTs.
anyhow, the ARV is not a bad ski (a noodle) even though its soft, the flex pattern is really thought through, and its a fun ski.
i dont know what ski you should choose, since i dont know what you weigh/how tall u are. but if youre a good skier under 180 lbs looking to have some fun in the bc, get the ARVs.

I'm 5'8" 145 lbs.
I ski fast, pretty much only steeps at mammoth. I ride my skis hard, lots of edge pressure. I don't smash them into rocks, and I only ride pipe if I'm in the park, which is rare.
I had the Seth Pistols, 179s. Way too soft to ski every day. The only day they were perfect was at Wolf Creek in chest deep fluff.
I got Arv 175s and they are plenty stiff for me. I'll probably get 185s next year. I prefer the ARV in any conditions to be totally honest. I can ski them perfectly in bumps, deep pow and tight steeps, the Seth pistols just weren't practical for me for making any more than 3 turns on any line.
I have both, I reccomend the ARV. This years ARV feel softer to me than last years, maybe I'm wrong...but I love my ARV's and will get another pair.

this is such a contradicting thread, just ride both and see what you like, every ski rides diff for every person.

Keep in mind that the Vicious are stiffer than the Pistols.
I haven't rode the ARV's, but I have the Vicious. They're such a fun ski. I use them for groomers, park, powder, everything. They have my vote. A truly versatile ski.

i want a stiffer ski because right now i have the chronics and those seem to be one of the stiffer skis out there i live in the midwest so not too much fresh stuff but i want a fat ski so when i go to CO, B.C., CA where there is actually real snow but the main reason i wanted to get the Vicious because 1 i can get em cheaper 2 they seem to be more durable im 6'2 at 165 i flexed the ARVs and they felt SOFT also the SVs have fuckin sick graphics

I think this was like a one in a million thing, but my friend had his 05/06 sv's delam super bad all the way along the side of the ski, not from the tip or tail. This other guy that I have ridden with had his 04/05 arv's and the edge ripped out. Both of them bought there skis from a shop, so they both got new skis because they were warriented.

Dude, you definetly need to ski them to find out. I have a friend who is your size. He's a really strong skier, and he rips the 185 ARV's... fuckin loves them. I thought they were too soft when I flexed them (on the shelf... like all the rest of these guys) but they don't ski like that at all. If they're mounted properly, they're the shit for you, hands down

everyone is going ot be biased towards their ski. Look at the few guys on here who have ridden both and decide from what they have to say.
