A couple weeks ago i dislocated my knee because my leg twisted and bindings did not come out. I have look px 12 and was wondering if the old p12 with the turnable heelpiece realese better when there is a twisting motion. I asked look but they said it should release just as well. Does anybody have personal experience with both bindings.

ive never skiied the old looks just the new ones and it seems like the old p12 with the rotating heel would release better with a twisting motion but i want someone whos used both to comment on this

ur dins should be fine im like 5"7' and 130 lbs and i have my dins set on 7 but i also have differnt bindings(s810ti) which im not sure if that matters...but yes i know i have a high din but if i put it any lower i pop out very easy when i land switch or if i hit the kuckle on the landing hard.

They release exactly the same. The elastic travel is the same.

i don't know it off the top of my head, but since you have a small foot and are a big guy you would have a pretty high din. especially if you are a type three skier at your age.

yea, i'm 6'2, 195 and pretty aggressive and i've got my dins set to 11 and they still come off when i do something stupid, you should make sure your din for the heel is set to the same as the toe, b/c thats what determines how much the heel piece rotates to release, and that's why looks/rossi's are hypothetically safer for your knees

Boot sole length has A LOT to do with the din setting
