Everybody hating shut up. He has the record for 3 pointers in the NCAA. That means more than Jordan, more than Magic, more than any of the greats. He's going to own. He will elevate his level of play to whoever he is playing with, and continue to be a force no matter who is guarding him.

well jordan and magic weren't really shooters, so of course their not going to have as many threes as someone like redick who is a one of the best pure shooters the ncaa has ever had. but they had a much more rounded game than him, so your comparison doesn't really make sense. he's a great shooter, no doubt, but i really don't see the rest of his skills translating as well into the nba. he'll have a solid career, but nothing overly exciting.

yeah hes pretty damn good in college but hes too white to be good in the NCAA, and the fact that duke is an amzing team frees him up a lot for open shots, hes not that amazing and hes a little bitch

okay. let me just say this, i do not hate reddick, but let's be honest, as good as he is, he's gonna get owned in the NBA. he's too small(width wise) for a 2 guard, he's too short for a 3 guard, and dosen't have the handles for a point guard. so either he puts on mad weight over the summer, or he's just gonna camp at the 3 point line.

do you know how long jordan was in college? do you know that magic johnson wasnt a shooter? do you know anything about basketball? just because you can make 3's doesnt mean you will do shit in the nba. that being said i think jj is a much better all around basketball player than just threes. his freshman and soph years thats all that he was be he can create his own shot just as well as anybody in college and makes everybody around him better.

yeah... morrison and his stache are pretty sick. you have to look at the fact that reddick has way more around him in the way of team mates too. heinrich is doing okay in chicago, so im saying reddick will do okay in the nba, but you never know. morrison on the other hand is bigger, and has the complete game. that kids a baller.

HA! Reddick will own the NBA? Thats news to me. NCAA is totally diffrent in game styles then NBA. Players are faster, bigger and smarter. Reddick will have to make lots of adjustments to his game before he can be even considered an elite in the NBA. But the kid can straight up shoot the lights out. I'm guessing he will be top 5 pick in this years draft.

Reddick is good, i'll give him that but Adam Morrison higher up on my list. Adam Morrison isn't on as strong of a team, rank wise. Reddick is on Duke and has a lot of great players around him. I agree with some people that Morrison will do better in the NBA just becaue he is more aggressive and isn't afraid to play some decent D.

at first i thought reddick was a joke, but the man can play. While most people say he won't do shit in the NBA, i beg to differ. The NBA doesn't play defense. You will watch games all the times and there are always players open for three.
Someone ^^ said that Duke's team is so good that he is always open. That is totally wrong. DUke basically depends ON Redick and then Sheldon Williams who has been playing well of late but not that great in the beginning of the season
He has the chance to be a fine player in the NBA. he doesn't have the driving capability that others have but his shit is amazing and like most players, he won't be too affected by the difference in 3 point range between NBA and NCAA. Half of his shots right now are beyond NBA 3 point range.
I hate Duke, but I give the man his respect because he deserves it

All the NBA cares about is offense and it will always put offense in front of defense; therefore players growing up will always be offensive minded. Now that you have all the kids playing offense, the defenses will be sufficiently weaker.
Just because the field goal percentage is lower does not mean that defense is better. More and more kids these days are making it into the NBA with weaker jump shots rely more on their athleticism. Then when they take their outside shots. they are off. You rarely see the good mid range game anymore (richard hamilton) because NBA is played with dunks/ layups and 3 pointers

It is a lost art, but that doesn't mean people still don't get their points in mid range. I'm assuming what you mean by lost art is players aren't shooting over 60% as they should for mid range but instead in the 40's to even low 30's which is a shame for NBA.

foye and ray are totally different players than Gay. Gay is a small forward with that mostly penertrates and has mid range jumpers
foye and ray are shooting guards.
If UCONN didn't have the deepest team in the country, Gay would be scoring a lot more

im sick of this shit about all jj can do is shoot. you guys obviously arent watching any duke games this year. he creates shots for himself and for his teammates as well or better than anybody in the country. he works harder than anybody and will make a big impact on the nba. i dont care what anybody says about it, he will be an allstar in the nba. he will hit anyshot in your face and make it with his mad range. he will penetrate and find the open man and make all the players around him better.

because they play a different style of gmae doesnt mean they cant be compared. Ray and foye carry a team that starts 4 guards, they not only score,but defend power forwards and rebound while playing guard. Gay was meant to be a lock as the big east player of the year and the number one draft pick, but has been incredibly inconsistent.
Reddick plays on one of tyhe best teams in the country and averages 28 points
Gay's a good but not great, im an SU fan and ill be the first to admit that Mcnamarra is overrated
