AS SKIERS, we are allowed to be gangster OK. so fuck you kids who hate on tanner for being gangster cause he fucking is. It doesnt matter. maybe he doesnt wanna be called gangster maybe thats just his style like a lot of other skiers. And you know wat does shoppingat foot locker and wearing baggy clothes make me gangster. I guess im gnagster. I think all skiers being gangster is a fun thing to do especially if some of us are rich. Cause maybe we hate how people call us rich kids so we act gangster. I think i said it all. Pleae comment
huh I don't understand why every is saying T-hall is acting gangster he's not that gangster, he's more like a hip hop dude. Mick. D is acting gangster...
but word for what you're saying, let people have there own style.
hah funny thing is I agree. I like wearing a jersey and big clothes when skiing but Im little and I feel it helps my style. but never oakley.....never.
just one thing...how is skiing related in any way to either the adjective "gangster" (acting as one would who is in a gang) or to the noun, "gangster" (referring to one who is in a gang)?
The last time i checked, there were no ski lifts in compton or hollis. i understand the notion of sub-urban white kids emulating styles popularized by gang members, but that is a far cry from possessing the characteristics or mannerisms of a person who truly is involved in gang life.
That said, wannabe gangsters on skis are frontin hard, and look stupid trying.
what gang is part of? Mexican mafia? blood, crip? westside snowflake platoon?
all i'm saying is that if you're gonna rep like he does and holla out g-unot, then you better be in a gang where people with heat and nothing to lose are there to back you up.
Otherwise, those who really are in a gang will have something to say and when push comes to shove, people that are fakin it shut up quickly.
Unless we're talking about gangs like the goonies, then i don't buy into it.
You are not worthy of your icon, the only thing in it that represents your style is the fact that the guy is dragging a hand on the ground. I might suggest one of those "fabulous" group photo shoots c-crew has done or possibly a picture of 50 cent to replace the existing picture, it's just who you are. Rep yo rich cracka boi steeze yo!
Perhaps you should take some of the money you've pumped into your FuBu and Ecko cothing collection and get yourself an English lesson or two. I hear the Sylvan Learning Center has come along way with your kind.
its a god damn style, not a LIFE-style, theres a fucking difference, shittttt. you can have gangster style and not claim to live the gangster LIFE-style. fuck some of you guys just dont get it.
obviously you cant see im joking im not actually a gangster. I just dress like im one. And i knew you were joking. evrybody just needs to chill out. IM sorry
gangster rap IS hip-hop. Rap is just one aspect of Hip-Hop. For some reason, people assume hip-hop only means mellow rap, like J5, but this couldn't be further from the truth.
but yeah, with respect to this whole gangsterism movement, i don't mind the look, as long as you stay true to your roots. i REALLY hate all the little kids that run around saying 'jea jea' all the fuckin time and start acting like little toughasses n shit. 'yo yo i'm from the hood, nigga. bust a cap!'. nooo, you've probably never even SEEN a hood, let alone experienced life in one. it's one thing to have some interest in a particular style, and a completely different one to make it a way of life.
When I was younger I saw a little bit of that world. Growing up in Southern California sort of puts you at least close to real gang life depending on how far you let yourself fall into it. Back then it was'nt about hip hop though I was in a punk rock/ white boy click. This was during that era so it was a different time and style. Just a few miles down the hill were serious established black and mexican gangs who did live a life of real violence, where seriously your life could be ended the next day. So looking back on it all it seems to be all bullshit. People killing others because someone disrespected them, or set up shop in the wrong part of town. The truth of it all is that I have seen a few of my old friends go to prison, the ones who were deep into it. Some I never heard from again which in a way is a positive thing. I mean the agression that most kids have should be expressed on the hill not on the streets. I am not sure being a gangster has any place in skiing, but I don't think just cause kids wear their clothes baggy that they are saying they are a true gangster. It is just the style now...and that is cool with me. But I have to laugh just a bit when some people on here think or claim they are "gangsters". The true reality of gang's and prison is if you go to prison which if you really live your life with street violence and crime you will end up in jail or prison.
The reality is in there you will survive by the color of your skin, and your loyalty to your race. It sounds totally fucked up but that is just how it is in there. There is little or no race mixing in prison and that rule is how you will either live or die by. So if you are into rap and hip hop style..just role with that without the "gangster" bit because the truth is that if you are white which most kids are on NS and just slide into prison acting all bling blang and sagging and bragging you won't be hanging with the crips, or the mexican crews either. Trust me on this you will be a target for for everyone in there icluding the ones who are there to protect you. It is a harsh, strict code in that world that most people really do not understand on here.
I dress in 686 and planet earth when I ski, but when I'm just relaxing I wear a dew rag and a jersey and some jordon pumps. I am the most gangster thing to his the streets since lawrence fishborn in kings or new york, and I'm probobly more so gangster than he.
