Okay so I am heading out to snowbird in 2 days and it is supposed to dump all weakend so i am thinking my fujis wont cut it and i might want to demo/ rent some pow sticks. Im pretty sure they have twin tip powder skis to demo/rent but do u guys have any idea what kind of bindings they have and if they can handel jumping and hucking of drops and also were there mounted. hopefully not some lame stance 1 foot from the back. i work at a ski shop that rents skis and knows i shouldnt expect much but are the pow skis they rent out there pretty nice?
they will prolly have some nice stuff depending where you go, and i doubt they will have them mounted shitty, reps are usually very knowledgable about stances.
sick, do they have decnt pow skis like the 1080 guns or the volks or arer they all bandit types, not that i am saying bandits are bad i would jsut rather have twin tips
depedning on the ski they will be mounted with demo bindings din to 12 adjustable, and mounted most likely on the reccomend spot.
You can do whatever you want with the skis, but if you fuck them up going off drops or damage them in anyway your 100% liable. Oh and your probably looking at $50 american a day, for the rental of a pair of twin tip pow sticks.
last year we went out to breck and the first day i rented pes and they were mounted at 0 so like 7.5 back from wat they should have been. At lunch we went to a different shop and found a pair that was mounted right. That was the only time i had a pair of rentals mounted wrong or something. usaually theyre fine and the bindings will usauly get the job done too
cuase even though i wouldnt want skis mounted dead center for powder i wouldnt want them way way back either. I still plan on skiing switch and trying some 1s into powder
i work with demo bindings and within reason you can adjust the mount to whatever you want, cos the toe and heel pieces are both adjustable. i bought my pe's ex demo and i can move the posi from +1 to +7. just talk to the tec at the shop and he'll set it up however you want.
Not to burst your bubble bro, but its not going to be a very good storm coming in. Only a couple inches which will all get blown away by the wind. Plus, if your planning on going to Snowbird on the weekend it is going to be shit-house packed.
yea i know that its going to be packed but if you look at the new storm warning, its poasted right above the 7 day forcast it says 1-2 feet from wens night into thurs alone.
