From skiboarding to skiing

my friend skiboards and wants to start skiing. would it be hard for him to get used to poles and stuff? and would spinning be any harder or any ttricks be harder?

more or less the same, it will probably just take a while to get used to ski lines with poles but spinning will be fine.

its harder to carve but thats easy toget used to, but rottion is a lil harder

well skis are heavier so rotating is going to be harder, so will carving and landing but he should get used to it fast.

i just switched from skiboards to skis this season and it only took me about a half a day of skiing to get used to the length and poles.

landing would actually be easier unlike what skibum06 said, more surface area and longer boards make landing easier.
