think about if skiing pipe was in the olympics. what would the teams be like? i dont think there would be total domination by 1 or two countries like there is in snowboard pipe. post some of your thoughts

it would be more spread out i think, but you hafta realize that its gonna be at least 8 more years before this would happen, so the field would be completely different. even like sammy and derek spong would be past there competition prime

well it might be dominated by three countires.sweden, canada and the u.s. maybe france. but they'll be to busy drinking wine and eating cheese. and the rest will be filled by scandinavian countries.

why is it out of the question for ski pipe to be in the next olympics?

because everything has already been orginized and decided, and if they added another two events (men+women) then they would need to add housing for atleast 50 more athleats and find time to put it in(qualifiers+heats+finals). Every thing has been decided for the 2010 olympics already.

I thought I heard somewhere that they were going to "test" it at 2010? Like just to see how it goes, and have a prep year?

well if ti happens in 2014...then we have no idea who willb e in it...all the people now will be 8 years older...meaning tanner will be like 30 it will be kids that we have never even ehard of
and if it happens in 2010, itll be the young up and comers right now like Jossi wells and mike henitiuk, not jon or them, cuz they will be getting old and shit

ian i think your wrong, im calling that tanner and all the people that are 22 right now, they will be near the top in 2010. look at snowboarding, how old is montoya and ross powers???? halfpipe is a thing you can be good at when your old. i think that we think people get to old at 25, 27 because the people in our sport who are that age got distracted and believed everyone around them telling them they are too old. plus it doesn't make sense, how is your body going to be that much different when your 30, if your taking the right steps to stay in shape..... you should be still able to kill it. plus skiing takes not much pysical strength, it's all in the mind. i believe that if they had it in 2010, candide, t hall and some others will still be there if their body's are not damaged.
