i know there are many forums about this, but i still cant decide between 176 big troubles and 178 scratch bc's. the price difference is only $20. Ihad completely ruled out the scratch bc until i rode it today, its a lot lighter and easier to handle than i thought. i never rode it in the trees though, i dont know if ill be able to throw them around in east coast trees. fuck i hate indecision.
both are sweet skis, i just cant decide if i need the extra waist width, it really doesnt snow that much here, but when it does ill need a ski that can plow through the skied off junk with ease.
well if you like them both, go by which you think would make you happier. looks cooler, brag about, whatever. get which ski you just think is the cooler one if you like them both.
doubt it, demo days were a long time ago and i never got a chance to try the big troubles. i really wish i di now though. there was just a rossi rep at loaf today for some reason
I'd go with what you know..You could be real dissapointed if you get the BT's and then notice you made the wrong decisions, but on the other side you could take a risk and make a better choice. Tough decison.
yea i still have a few days to decide because i hafta wait for my paypal transfer to clear, im hoping one ski will come out on top by then.
i guess length is a factor also, the bc's are a tad longer which will be good for ripping but not as much for trees, but 2 cm isnt that much of a difference anyway
if it helps, i wont be skiing park with either. just pow, trees, ripping, and maybe some booters (im hoping to go build some at tuckerman's in early spring). i might take like one or 2 runs through the park with them on a pow day but i will usually switch skis for park.
