first of all learn how to type right
next get a good pair of twin tips- armada, line and 4frnt, etc. are all pretty cheap. those skis can double as decent all mountain skis usually, good in moguls and all over plus excellent in the park. depending on your size and noobeness stay low in length say 172 max prob till you get better.
In canada, I got my Dynastar Troublemaker's for $500 with bindings. THey were relatively cheap IMO.
There Line Chronics too, those were around $400ish.
However, remember these are end of the year sales though ... I really doubt that a brand new pair of skis + bindings will go for under 400 Canadian, unless you find a great deal. Just for the americans to know $400 Canadian is around $350 USD.
Damn I wish there was an edit button.. but I had to add that in Canada, or at least hwere I am in ontario/toronto, twins seem way more expensive than I see people saying they bought theirs for in the US. Maybe its just me though, Don't know =/ Good luck. Rossignol Scratches are also pretty cheap I think..
get volkl karmas but will probably have to get them used or last years model if u want them under 400. Don't worry if their used since volkls are bombproof
If you want a ski that will last, you're gonna have to fork out more than 400, unless of course you come across a sick deal and i'm sure one's gonna pop up on this site any minute now
