mine is as high as it goes...when i flailed out and broke my heel my skis never came off, when i rolled down sunshine head first my skis never came off, i prefer it this way
mine are at 7 and they hardly ever come off. The only times they really come off are when i can feel my legs like HURTING badly and then they pop loose. but thats how i like it tho.
i just heard a horror story of a woman having her leg shattered (not broken, mind you, shattered) because her ski didn't pop off when she fell... that scared the shit out of me. i think mine are 8.5, haven't felt the need to crank it up. 14 just seems suicidal.
come to think of it, the only time i really pop out of my bindings is when i pop out of my toe piece... does anyone else have a problem with this? riding/landing backseat can make them go. i have marker 1000's, which i know is not the best binding, but they were from my old skis and i am poor.
Bring them to a shop. The bindings need to be checked out and set agains. This happened to me as well, everytime I'd land it would pop out nose first. After a few minor ajustments, I was good.
so mine is set low like 7 and i hit a jump two days ago...yeah the ski fell off on my left foot and deathed a 35ft table due to pre release...but its good i guess...my pant leg was caught in it and it wiggled loose
Weight=180
Din=8
i got a new set of trouble makers that came with look px12 lifters. first run i completely tore my ACL and miniscus on some bull shit. i was carving, almost fell over on the mountainf face, tried to right myslef BAM. it's all ABOUT the reactor bindings now. The PROS definately out way the cons.
mine are at 8. they've popped once when they shouldn't have. i'd rather that right now than a torn knee. when i used to compete in moguls, my dins were so high i was scared of falling.
The problem with having a low din is that when you are straight lining stuff or skiing a really technical line fast and our ski pops off before you fall you can get injured quite badly because of a low din, This happened to me once and I have kept a high din since
