I suggest e-mailing it to yourself. or does your fucking school have e-mail blocked. if that is the case you can try getting a 'pen Drive'. I have one it works great! you can get one at radioshack for $20-$200 depending on storage size. the one I have is 64 mb. it is really cool because you just stick it into the usb port on your computer and no software is required if you are running windows 2000 or higher or mac os 9 (i think...) or higher. it is compatable betewnw macs and pcs




folppies are really really fuckingly shitty! I can't transfer by floppy from one of my pcs to the other because on the older one, the head on the floppy reader is out of elingment. (the shitty reader thingy got knocked out of place, in english) it says the same thing for me in that situation.


you also mught want to try a rewitable cd (cd-rw) if you have a cd burner. I don't know how well those work though.

you couldtry taking a floppy from home that you know is ibm format and then open it back up on the mac and save it to the ibm disk in a format that would be recognized (ie drop down menu when you go to save you document they should have a file extension that will be valid if not try saving a few different formats . soc is probably your best bet)

Actually Phrosty, its PPC and X86.. the two different processor archetectures that set them apart. The current Mac's use the G4 processor which is a uses the PPC processor archetecture, while PC's (or IBM compatables, its an older term, but it still gets the point across perfectly fine) use the x86 archetecture... such as AMD's Athlon and Duron series, and Intel's Pentium series of processors. The term IBM came around because IBM was putting out the first PC's (Personal Computers... I believe the term came from them) and other companies, using the IBM created archetecture, wanted to work with the IBM developed software, and software developed FOR the IBM... so they used the x86 archetecture, which was created by IBM... Therefore, you could still say that PC's are 'IBM compatable' because they use that x86 (IBM Created) archetecture, thus being compatable with it. x86 is an open archetecture, compared to the PPC deal, it allows any company to develop processors on it. While the PPC architecture is limited to processors manufactured by the people Apple contracts out to.

Ohhh yeah, and i could continue to say how IBM basically released the x86 processor while keeping all the BIOS information, so to boot an x86 proc, you'd have to have an IBM mobo, or BIOS chip at least, however, Compaq, back in the day, reverse engineered the IBM BIOS chip, creating the first true 'IBM Compatable' without IBM parts...
