I definatly wouldn't where it's at right now. But I'd love to help build it, and hang out, and watch people hit it. I love that type of stuff. Or if we built a seperate jump like 50-60 ft. from the landing, then it would be sweet to hit. But would ruin the pics of the real one
i would do it, not saying i would land anything but that shit is the everest of our sport and yes i would do it because that shit is straight baller. i want a picture of me tweaking a true nose 120 feet in the air halfway through it,, fuck!
yeah--- after watching some more clips off it-- I realized how immense this things is..plus how fast you would have to go down the runway....no thanks..I'd rather go ski some pow lol
if i saw a kid hit it and make it for sure, then i would probably hit it, just straight line it and pray to god all the way up to the top and throw the worlds biggest shifty over it
^you are sooo hard, do they call you oak or steel? don't be a prick man...seriously there are lots of kids who could nail chad's...nick (calskierx) could and WOULD do it if i didn't have a little kid i would. those bruvas from montana just straight showed all of you utah boys up, no talk, pure walk and no life flight either. most of the best skiers in the world aren't pro, in magazines, movies, etc. they just go out and rip, then go home. nobody knows them but they can be found all around the world.
The biggest I've hit was maybe 50ft? (At killy last january, i don't even know if the jump was that big) but I'd def not do chad's. A better question for ns would be pyramid
i'd def. do pyramid, so i'd do that first and if i built up the cajones maybe i'd check out chad's, but i def. wouldn't hit chad's without experiencing pyramid gap
half the people who said yes would change their answer if they saw it. im not gonna lie, id be freaked out to hit pyramid as well. i wouldnt do it, im just not at that level
not to be a shit-talker, but if guys like sage built the jump up to it, and the landing is sooo huge, i'd give it a try if I was there, and a ton of people were going off on it. 60 foot jumps are pretty comfy for me, and witha decent lip, it would be worth it.
I might hit Pyramid, but i dunno about chads, if i did pyramid first, then maybe chads. I would wanna do with with people who knew what they were doing, new the speed and what to build ect.
I've spun off of 80 footers, and there's almost no way i would even think about it.
Landing in powder is so different than landing in a park, so never mind the inrun or the speed and distance, but landing in powder, going that fast and huge, would be intense.
give me a plane ticket, a ride, powder, and yes ill try it even if my death is possible option cuz I ski at mt-blanc, Qc and our biggest jump is like a 25 footerto flat landing...when I go to avila or other places, im in pure fire
if there were people there who knew how much speed to get and i saw them go off it first, i would most likely hit pyramid. I would only hit chads after hitting pyramid for a couple days because that is a LONG ASS TIME to be in the air
id fuckin do it. no joke. as long as the inrun was smooth with a good tranny and a smooth lip, with a still day... and id probably want some longer skis, but id be all over it. id have to straight air it first hit tho maybe as soon as i get outta the house i can make a trip to utah
I dont think people understand how much of a difference there is between hitting a 75 or even 90 footer for that matter in a maintained (by snowcats i may add) with massive inruns and perfect trannys. Chad's gap is NOT maintained by alta and was not built specifically so that we could throw our selves off it...even Pyrimids, yeah it may be a couple feet longer or bigger then the money booter at your home mountain, but there is a huge difference between the two...now i am not doubting anyones ability, but just because you hit a 90 footer at your home mountan, doesnt mean or necessairly guarntee shit, and the only way to prov eit is actually check it out in life...
