i cant do them but i think all you really need to do is go at a speed to get like 2 feet of air. THen just go back like a flip and put your hand out and hold on, but i dont think you really need to suppourt your weight with your hand just the air time in the pipe will do that if i made any sense at all

all u gotta do is go like you are gonna do a flair only with less speed and when u go back plant your hand and roll over tehy are actually alot easier then u would think
what switchmisty said is the way the majorty of people do them. The way Doug does them is by jumping forwards and just throwing your feet in the air. I wanna try it like a lincoln loop...rotate downhill, grab the lip than keep with the downhill rotation.
I think they are hard too do. Loubek was trying to teach us them and he's was pathetic at them. There was hand but there was no plant. he just went and did a semi inverted turn and scrapped his hand on the top of the pipe.

Darry: I do mine like a lincon, but it's uphill. So that ends up (when I do it right) as an alley-oop handplant. You can do it downhill too where you come up the wall, and just drop your inside hand and shoulder.
You can do it also like the other people were saying, where you set it like a backflip and put your hand down.
The biggest key is to let your body weight take itself up into the position. You won't be able to press up, your equipment weights too damn much.

so it is harder to just carve up the pipe, go a little inverted and put a hand down? how should you come out of it?

Just do this, when you come off the lip put your hand down and let your feet come over your head, make it effortless, let inertia do the work. Anyway you will be inverted facing downhill, then just fall forward and guide your feet back under you. I dont think its a hard trick to learn/invision (like a mctwist), it just takes practice. Of course there are a lot more ways to do it but thats most likely the easiest. I really wanna try it but I broke my left wrist and that would be the hand to put down cuz Im comfortable with the right wall, I think Im still gonna try it tho, well see.
