im just starting freeskiing, how can i tell which way is better for me to spin, usually ive been going left but i cant get all that much spin out of it. any advice?
its like hockey sticks and baseball bats, whatever you feel more comfortable with. if you really dont know, try left because that is the way most people spin
if you're starting, I'd say start trying tricks both ways...pretty much everyone on this site wishes they could go back in time and re-learn freeski by doing everything both ways.
try both
its cool if dont develope a direction habit and you can do both ways easily
...but when i first started to find out the way i spin best i just stood on flat ground and jumped and spun as far as i could.
whenever i went right i would land with my tips crossed or one foot askew so i spin left generally.
i agree with everybody above in learning both ways. but a way to tell usually is get someone to go behind you and push you. whichever leg you put out first, you generally spin to that direction
