i havent waxed mine in so long they are the slowest skis ever. sometimes the snow just sticks to the bottom and i cant even move and i have core shots and scrapes everywhere
but im scared if i get them waxed ill overshoot all the tables im used to hitting
why woiul u not wax your sskis then? be nice to you skis, go to the ski shop, buy ptex candles, buy some wax, then go to wal mart and buy a $7 iron, they will ski so much better
in order to preserve your bases I am told you should wax every 2-3 times out... also considering different waxes for different temps will keep your skis performing at their best...
candle wax will probably help preserve your bases and keep the moisture in but just dont do it...
one other thing to remember when waxing... use wax in small quantities, you dont need to melt a 1/4 inch of wax onto the bases of your skis, this will just create waste as 99% of the wax is scraped/brushed off in favor of having just a thin thin film of wax... so knowing this you can save money by being SMART
just buy swix f4 paste. soo easy and it really makes a difference. im a fan of hot waxing myself, but if you put paste on every time you go you should only hafta hot wax every other week or so. wax really does make a huge difference.
