Replying to 06 Scratch FS review
So, I just demo-d some scratches, thought I might give me 2 cents. First, of all I really liked the ski. Not very stiff IMO, and i am currently 6 1 160-165 pounds. I was able to walk around on the tips really easily, do nose butters, etc... That was just waiting in the lift line. First I went up in some deep, knee to waist deep powder. The skiis did fine. Then it got into thick trees and powder, and they still did fine. Not awsome, but still fun. Then I hit the park. I wish these things had more pop. I know because of the condition they have been used fewer than 20 times, so they still have a lot of life. They are light, and have decent pop, but nothing like my AR5s. They give you a really solid landing though. They also ride and land switch well. Thing is, they are a little weak when trying to turn, you really gotta muscle them. Then I hit some bumps (mary jane style). These things were fine until I really started goin fast, then things got scary. They started bouncing way too much off the bumps n stuff, I thought I was gonna launch off of one. But, if you arent a really aggressive bump skier, they are fine.
All in all, these are pretty hot skis. However, I think I would take my AR5s over these, but for the money (330), these are hard to beat. Although, I bought some chronics instead, which were just 340. What can I say, the graphics are sick.
