i have to get an MRI for my knee on monday and i was wondering how long it takes usually.

about an hour. hope you're not claustrophobic, you get put in this big tube and move in and out. they gave me music to listen to and it was in the middle of the night so i fell asleep

yea about an hour, but if you move they have to start over SO DONT MOVE! it was hard for me cuz i had a magazine but i had to flip the pages and i kept moving my knee for some reason so bring music, and stay calm.

i always fall asleep when i have MRI's and CAT scans, no matter how hard i try to stay awake i pass out within 10 minutes
