Question about the bases of skis:
Is there a way to repair the scrathes and divots in the base of the ski? When they wax them, do the bases look like they did when they were brand new?

ptex, base grind, waxing them wont make them look brand new if there are shots and scrapes in it

how can i do that-will a shop do it for me when i get them waxed and tuned?

if it's a scratch, wax will fill it in. If it's a deep scratch, ptex it yourself because it's really easy and fast and they charge a lot at the shops. If it's a core shot, take it to the shop because ptex doesn't stick to the core, so they'll cut the piece of base out and replace it.
