Hey guys.. I am from the east coast, out west for a few weeks chasing snow, trying to do it CHEAP. Will be in the Breck/A basin area from Feb 16th to 21st.
Looking for someone with a vacant spot on their floor for a guy and a sleeping bag. Whats with there not being cheap youth hostels in Breck? Frikin yuppie town! In december I was there and the cheapest hostel was 35 bucks a nite!
Also lookin for some locals to ride with and show me the goods. Im not a park rider, like the steeps. email me if ya want,
matt_smith@sympatico.ca
Thanks a ton. Peace love and snow!

steeps...breck? I don't know about that. The snow is pretty good right now. But you definetly didn't pick a good spot for natural terrain.

I doubt he is going to know how to use them if he is from the east coast.

Yeah cause the lake chutes aren't 50 degrees or anything...
and A Basin doesn't have any steeps, right?

Kevo, was going to say the same thing..
There are steeps at Breck, you just have to know where to look...
Devil's Crotch area can get nice and steep too, off of Chair E there are some steeps, then a nice wall off of 6 too....
yeah, Breck has some... Abasin too.

Just compared to Tahoe or Mammoth it is pretty weak. There is some fun stuff at Breck, at least this week with the snow. The lake chutes are pretty short, there is no sustained steepness. Devils crotch is okay, I like the doors better. It just seems the majority of days spent in summit county should be either BC or park.
