^No worries, you'll get better. My team has a kid that does about a 5:25 though. Someone in the section also does a sub-5 minute 500. It's crazy.

i used to be on a team. best event was the butterfly, but i haven't swam on a team in 7 years. i just do it for fun now.

i got a 5:19 once as my fastest time but it was to qualify for sectionals cause i had it in most other events i just wanted it really badly...when i dont want it which is almost always i go like 5 35 lol...this dude i swim and play polo with goes 4:37, people said he easily woulda been in the olympics but he became a pothead and now hes only all-american...haha

im 18 im a senior. i live in vt and swim there in the summer but i go to boarding school (westminster) in connecticut. i used to swim for a bennington team in the winters maybe we swam against eachother back in the day.. prob different age groups though. but thats pretty intense you shaved ur head for finals. im not that into it, although last year me and like every guy on my team bleached our hair for new england's.

Sick, sick. I had a PR in practice the other day, with a 2:34:42 in the 200 IM. Prelims tomorrow, I'm swimming the 100 Free, 200 IM, and I am starting off the 200 Freestyle relay.

i wish i still swam, i quit the team a year or two ago. that summer i had had a bad experience almost drowning.... and since then i've had a fear of swimming and deep water.

^^not true dude. if you've taken the lifegaurd cert. test you would know you have to swim 500 total i think to pass...i took it 3 years ago so i dont remember correctly which reminds me shit i need to get it renewed

I swim.. but Im not a swimmer.. I played water polo, and therefore, was on the swim team to stay in shape. I hate swimming laps.. it is the worst ever.

I played water polo for a year in college, and decided that playing water polo isnt worth getting bad grades.. it took up all my time.

So now I swim at 24 hour just to stay in shape.. its boring though.

I dont get it most of the swimmers at my school are always pissed off aab out something. you try to talk to them and they get all mad and start ranting about their sport and shit. I think they all might take roids

Sectionals was yesterday, we came in 2nd in division B. My 200 Free relay came in first in the b's, with a 1:36:55. I led us off with a 24.40, which is a personal record. In prelims, I did a 2:27:23, dropping seven seconds from my previous personal best. I did a 55.56 in the 100 free, dropping 2 seconds from my previous personal best. Good season.

i have a friend that swims.. hes fucking epic... his name is Kyle Scarff... I think he has a rank in canada... hes fucking amazing probably keeps up with everyone here... hes 15

i dont remember times, specifically, but when i was 13 i had triple a finishes in the 100 and 200 breaststoke. no joke. i was on my way to the fuckin olympics, but i quit so i could do other things. i was swimming 9 tmies a week with comps every second weekend. it was craaaziness. especially for a 13 year old.

good job on the good season, ill prolly be jumpin up to 27 or so on the 50 free lol 5 seconds from my best last season cause of my injured shoulder but whatever im a fuckin senior and i only swim to stay inshape for polo i just have happened to be swimming since i was 5 but yeah im shootin for 1:50 or even below in the 200 free this year but practice started three weeks ago, ive been to one practice and ill i can do is kick cause of my messed up shoulders lol

Ahh dude that blows. This kid on our team did that last year, although I wasn't here last year...I'm a freshman, and he was the manager this year. I can't wait for next year...I don't even understand it, dropping times in swimming gives me such a feeling of accomplishment and I love it.
