ok im see such a gay trend right now in snowboarding and now im seeing skiers with jesus and i ride for jesus stickers on there boards and skis so i went to my local graphic studio and had them make me satan and i ski for satan decals. thats how we role up here in truckee
Well I talked with the Ninthward boys at the Tradeshow, and they were chill, I'm sure you know the owners right, or may be working with them soon? Because you definitely haev a life. And I ride Gotama's which in my iopinion eat Ninthwards alive. But Ninthward is comin out with some dope stuff too, soo yeah, thats that.
For all those who feel the need to overtly flaunt their religiousness, I have a question: Are you religious or are you spiritual? I make a distinction between the two. One is made up of empathy for fellow human beings. It is the construct of a love for others. The other is the age-old ritual of social control manifested by behavior, not done for the good of others, but done instead to claim one's right in a religious group as one of the pack.
People who are religious have given into the age-old dogma handed down by the pseudo-pious. They flaunt their religion both visually and verbally to advance themselves in their religious circle, church, synagogue, temple or what-have-you. It is important for them that others see how faithful they believe themselves to be. By doing so, those who think likewise think more of them. Further, they do this because they have been scared into believing in the medieval construct of hell. To not act in accordance with the dogma of their "chosen" religion almost certainly means banishment to hell upon death. Nevermind that the central theme of many of the great spiritual founders such as Jesus, Buddha etc. was not about going to some fiery hell. That was the central message of the religious foundersthe idea being that if you don't follow me, you will go to hell.
A person who is spiritual is different. A spiritual person would do the right thing even if no Bible, Koran or Torah were present. The right thing it seems, manifest across all cultures, is to be nice, forgive others and foremost to avoid harming other people. A person who is spiritual will have these as their central tenants. They do not need to show people how moral or cool they are in their convictions; they merely do what is right and make no fuss about it. Praying at the top of their lungs so that all can hear them or so "God will not send them to hell" does not play a part in it. A spiritual person knows that these are all constructs meant to control and further the goals of religious leaders who may be deluding themselves into believing that by showing everyone their beliefs, they score points with the Supreme Being as well as with their religious compadres.

Oh yeah and guy who wrote this tread you're trying way way too hard to be a bad ass. I'm guessing you are like 14. Confussing times my friend confussing times. It's okay, one day you'll look back on it and have a good chuckle. We all grow up eventually. Oh yeah and those are pubes by your balls. Don't be alarmed that's suppose to happen.
if i was ever at the N* on a sunday, i'd be up there at the cross reading my bible...then i'd click in and lap the park...what's old Billy up to nowadays? really a cool kid. tell chris, that i'm going to get up there one of these days and ride some 9thwards.
billy becker do i know you ? haha yeah that big cross is on the park run haha but yeah if you ever up at the star ride with our crew and chris has mad skis yeah i skied with billy i will tell him sup 4 you
probly not...i skied w/ billy at boreal early season. i was supposed to hook up with chris to do some demos on 9thwards, but i've just been at sierra a lot, so maybe soon. yeah, if i'm up there i'll def. look for you suckas. i might roll up like monday or something.
I've seen so many fake ass christians who don't know anything about their own religion besides the fact that they've been told its cool to rep Jesus or something. And so many pompous old bitches in churches who think they're better than the non-christians around them. People need to find a religion for the right reasons.
Because I have looked at many of the options availible in the religious world, and not just christianity. I've found that Jesus was indeed a great man, and his teachings are dead-on. (Not that other religious teachings are any less vaild, but this is just what I've chosen to believe.)
I think its sad to put stickers on your skis saying i worship satan:S. Although I dont really get it why u should put stickers on your skis i ski for jesus. If u'r religious which is totally cool, u dont have to show it immediately to the rest of the world. Guess thats typical American...
I ride with a cross on my skis. It means a lot to me so thats why I do it. I dont flaunt my religion nor do I think I am better than anyone. There are a tonne of misconceptions about christianity, most people think we are a bunch of stuck up bastards that want to push our religion on people. Thats not true at all. We just wanna try and set some sort of example for others, if you dont agree thats fine, if you do than thats rad too. I am part of a thing called SFC (snoboarders/skiers for christ), and basicly we ride for god and try to set a decent example on the hill, also we are trying to put on some rail jams this year in which anyone can come too. We just wanna show that there's christians who are cool and not stuck up and stuff. Theres my mini rant.
i was WAY blazed when i wrote that and it was supposed to be a joke, so i hope we all got that. sure, do whatever you want- ride with Jesus stickers on your skis, but be prepared for people like me to make fun of you.
still, the t-shirt would be sweet.
a shirt with Jesus skiing switch with the caption "Jesus loves skiing backwards... in case you didn't notice." would be pretty rad. i would shred rad gnar with a sweet shirt like that.
Americans feel this need to litter there cars with bumper stickers displaying their beliefs and ideas. I guess it was only a matter of time before skis started getting littered as well. I ski for fun. thats me. ski for jesus or allah, or moses, or satan, or gary coleman. I don't care.
wow man your pretty much a hard core rebel...you think it makes you cool, your doing just what you resent, as far as i'm concerned its a good thing, and anyone who beleives in it, has there freedom to express it with out some sped selling his skis to the devil just to prove a point, just go out and ski, it doesnt matter what stickers ppl put on there skis
I know!! I saw this interwiew of Jamie Pierre on my local news channel and he jumped like a 200 footer for god apperantly. I mean god skiing is skiing you do it to reflect your self or say your reflecting god at the most but thats just to much. Only Utah!! ONly Utah!!
