I went to Jay Peak on Friday after finaly getting some snow during the week. So excited when we got there, it seemed to prestine outside and not too many people. Turns out they shut the Tram to the top cuz of wind, wtv it happens. Then, after 2 runs, they closed the far right lift cuz of the wind(insane how you could only feal it on top of the mountain). This really pissed us off cuz their was actualy GREAT(GREAT) pow in the glades up top. So rest of the day we skied on the other side of the mountain. The off slopes and the glades were great all day, however the groomers got mad icy real fast. But whatever, the whole perpouse of the rant is to ask: What happend to the park? Where it normaly is, we saw the rail set-up undone in the woods and their were no jumps, boxes, or anything. Going to the other side they had some puny excuse for part that had no landings. Does anyone know what's going on? I know the season hasnt been great but the least they could do on a day where the 2 main lifts are down is to have a half decent park...
jay peak will not have a park unless we tell them they need a park. please send angry comments/emails/anything to bill steinger, the president or anyone in charge up there....we have to do something about this!
The main one I know about is right to the left of the quad chair on state side. It's in in some unmarked glade, about a 10 foot rock. Hahahah had a great pic of me eating shit off it, just couldnt make the first landing in pow
