I'm glad War won Best Movie and that Tanner got Best Performance. Most of them seem fine to me. I really thought they were all going to go to Matchstick because Powder sponsors them, but it was fair in the end. Still, Shanghai Six should have been nominated.

kristi didn't even have a segment in a movie this year - and i think only one or two comps...doesn't make sense...who votes on these things?

people who read the magazine vote. goes to show how her name has lasted, even though she hasn't done shit, at least in terms of big comps/movie segments
and jon olsson gets jyped at everything! people should give him more damn respect. 10th? bullshit
but good to see that MSP and TGR didnt win every damn thing. some good results imo

I find it very upsetting that Whiteshine didn't get nominated for anything, personally I enjoyed it MUCH more than War.

shane mckonkey first, jt holmes second. WHAT THE FUCK. i can semi understand shane, but jt? I never knew he existed anymore. since when are your big breaks in the skiing world being able to base jump.

Actually JT has a pretty sick segment in Hit List, huge drops in Tahoe backcountry stomped and rode away from, he has an awesome powerful big mountain style. That said, I dunno how Eric Hjorliefson isn't on there, him and Dana Flahr should both have won something for kicking ass. Why is Davenport on there.

I was there standing next to Tanner's mom when she nearly went insane (with joy?) over Tanner's best slam award. I really hate rewarding such horrible moments that happen in these guys careers... but that's my own issue. SO awesome to see CR up and about. And back to Tanner, he needs an alcohol intervention.

I totally agree. I'm not into the whole base jumping thing. It would have been much more fulfilling for me to see the top two guys being poeple whose feats are not based on parachutes opening to catch their falls. I'd prefer small cliffs to see better/ natural landings.
