hey i just got back from busting my ass on the tabletop for 5 hours. i can get around fine, but i always end up leaned too far back and end up eating shit. tips?
I did that alot too, I would just say pop off the lip and lean a little bit forward and practice! I did tons of 'em and after awhile they just naturally worked themselves out.
Hey
I just leanred to stomp 360's this weekend. When your going into the jump and about to hit off the lip really really concentrate about what your doing, when you come all the way around lean forward and fight for the landing, dont let yourself fall no matter what.

i just got my first 360's last week. when i was gettin em', i didnt think about any thing except going up and spinning. not sure if it helps, but its what worked for me...
this is horrible. Don't lean forward, its not gunna work. Mebe if you wanna do a bio 5 onto your back. jUST SPIN A 3 AND CLEAR YOUR MIND, GO A LITTLE BIGGER, AND GO OFF THE LIP with your stance a litgtle wider, then don't tuck up as much in the air and float it our, and catch the landing as sooon as posible. But let it flow, don't think like "not backseat notbacklseat not backseat the wholetime, just hit it and thinnk 360 and float it out
I always used to get that dildo binding right in the ass because I would lean too far back on my 3's, when leaving the lip I would always lean forward to prevent this from happening
wide stance, rotate your whole body at once. tuck your legs up. spot your landing by turning your head, not your whole upper body. but most of all rotate all at once, not upper boday then skis and lower body. spin with hips
Thowing a bunch of 1's with fairly slow rotation seemed to help me out.
Once I could hit a particular jump, rotate trough a fairly relaxed 180, and spot the rotation over my spin-side shoulder well in advance of landing, I figured I'd have enough time to rotate all the way around on a 360. When the time came to hit a 360, the only thing that I changed was that I let the rotation continue instead of stalling out at 180.
Another thing that helped was bringing my legs up during the 180. I think other people have said not to do this, but it worked for me. It seemed like the pop --> tuck ---> spot-the-landing-and-extend sequence made it easy to keep the correct orientation in the air, and dropping the legs was an easy way to slow down my rotation. It also seems like using this sequence would help for 540's on up, but I've never tried a 540 so I guess we'll see how it goes later in the season.
Other people may have mentioned this earlier as well, but choosing a jump with the correct size is important as well. It seemed to me like jumps that were big enough for a fairly relaxed 180 but small enough that you wouldn't die on the landing were about right. I think that most of the smaller jumps in a park should give you enough air for this. I'd also look for jumps without much of a kick, as most jumps that really kick you up in the air will exacerbate the backseat problem.
just keep your hands forward and when ur doing just really focus on keeping your weight forward take off with ur hands in front of u and just make sure that they dont go behind you
get to a comfortable speed that you can hit a jump at and right before you hit the jump wind-up and when you get into the air uncoil. the harder you wind-up the better the spin.
I can wind up and im done rotating halfway through my jump, but i just cant seem to bring it the rest of the way around. Im winding up good, popping good, and all that business, but i just seem to stop at a 1. Any suggestions?
i use to have a big problem going past 1's to 3's. you just have to commit and make sure you spin with your head and keep it turned until your spotting your landing. and the longer you have to do them in air the easier, just dont scare your self
i alllllways used to land on my heels and be off balance. Try grabbing while you spin - even something simple like a safety grab and see if that puts you on the right axis.
Come in low, with a nice comfortable wide stance. As you approach the takeoff, don't let any kind of fear take over your thoughts. Confidence works wonders. Do not, I repeat do not wind up with your arms at all. It isn't necessary. You'll end up coming in standing too tall, and throwing yourself awkwardly in to the rotation. Instead, pop first, and then start with your head and shoulders, and initiate the rotation.
Do not stop looking until you see the landing. Make sure you're well tucked up, and when you spot your landing start to open up your legs.
i totaly had that same problem. just go up to the jump and instead of looking back at the lip goin off starting your rotation look back at the jump(area) but with your head looking around straight up.. this will give you a pencil steeze look but goot way to start them.
