Sic... not sick.

It has come to my attention that people have been using the word 'sick' in the wrong context on this site.

Lets get this straight guys...

Sic = Crazy or Extreme.
Sick = Gonorrhea or Aids or even the flu.

Understood?

'Sic' is latin for: 'on pourpose'

that is all it means, that is all it will ever mean. It still makes sense though, I mean if a trick is Sic that would mean you did it on pourpose, I guess that sorta translates over to well done or stylie. But god damn dudes, you can't just re define a word. What the hell did you think they ment when they have (sic) after words they misspell or something on pourpose?

SicYo, you really need to shut the fuck up, who cares how you spell things? Besides, everyone who argues against you is right, sic is a grammarical correction used for incorrect spelling. Also, using 'sick' makes perfect sense, people use 'ill' in the same context as they use 'sick'. And you don't spell it 'il' do you?

guess what, its 'sick.' why? because we say it is. that's how slang works. through popular usage, these expressions work their way into our vocabulary. therefore, any made up word or phrase can become valid through popular use... if the popular spelling on ns is 'sick,' then thats how it is spelled. it doesn't really matter anyways though.

haha, thanks for the support guys. But yeah, I don't really care I just don't see how in any way spelling things wrong or using bad grammer is cool. Also on a board like this with non-english speakers I try and write as correctly as I can to help them understand (if you were looking at badly spelled words in a diffrent language wouldn't you be confused to hell?).

Whatever, do what you want people...
