yea, but i didn't buy them from a shop. I got them from someone on here, brand new. I only have the recipt for the binding and the mounting job. However, they are the foils and have only been released for like what, 6 months?
that's fine. Salomon will just start the warranty period from when they started production, not the time i purchased it.
But seriously, has anyone here delt with salomon's warranty department and tell me if its worth taking out the bindings right now and sending them in. I dont want to get these skis back 2 weeks later and then have to redrill them again.
nomensteven's got it right on. take them to a shop and they will get in touch with salomon about it. depending on the shop, you might have to pay shipping. usually if its coming from a shop, companies dont care if there is a receipt or not. i've sent skis back to salomon before without a receipt and had a new pair waiting for me at the shop in under two weeks. you can call salomon and find out the status of your skis, where they are, etc, they were super helpful to me. it looks like its a warrenty issue to me.
i am sending them back. The only thing i am worried about is that somehow a piece of metal like 4 mm got embeded into the base beside the edge opposite of the delamed edge. Will that look like I slid a rail with them?
