Agreed, this will be the tram's last year of life, so you'll have to do at least a few laps there. As far as the rest of the mountain goes, it's all pretty amazing(save for the lift that goes to the park), and as long as there's good snow it will be an awesome trip for you.
I think Jackson Hole has been getting alot of snow lately. I dont live there but thats just what I've heard. So you probably missed some epic pow days.
I really dont think many people from the jackson hole area usually post on this forum for some reason. Most people that post here are from Montana.
as of feb 4th jackson had a 103" base with 360" total, i got that in a freeskier email. im going out there for my first time over spring break, something like the 11th-17th, and i am soooo insanely pumped. im really excited to be able to ride the tram before its pulled down. and to jump some cliffs, there arent many cliffs in MN and i only get out west 1-2 times a year. im going out with the ski club at the u of m, and theyre crazy partiers, i cant fucking waaaait.
I was just up there for the past three days, it was pretty good. There was definitely a hard layer underneath about 6" of snow, but it was still some fun skiing. The base is the part that I really liked though, EVERYTHING is covered up now!
if you get fresh snow go up the apres vous quad and go to the right into saratoga bowl. you will have some good powder to yourself. then after lunch head up the tram
tower three and the alta chutes are pimp
I bet this will not be the last year of the tram. I'm thinking they used it as a marketing ploy to get people to come up for "The Last Year of The Tram" but then they'll say, "Due to public outcry we will be extending the life of the tram". And then everyone will come up again.
