i know this may sound completely stupid, but how far is portland from decent skiing? i'm looking to move to a city where i don't have to travel 4+ hours to go skiing... i'm dying!

mt. hood is the closest good skiing. about 1.5 hours to meadows and just a bit less to timberline. mt. bachelor is about 3 hours away.

you can make it form p-town to t-line in liek 45 minuts if you drive fast as fuck

my record is 53 minutes to t-line from my buddy's house off 122 in SE portland. averaged 75 up foster to damascus and then averaged 90 to govy. up t-line road i was doin between 40 and 70. its harder to go much faster than that. this was at night during last summer before we camped out

speeding along that route (highway 26) is pretty retarded. don't get me wrong, i used to do it, but there are soooo many police just chilling along that road.

that sounds just like sacramento, CA where I grew up...
tahoe: 1.5 hours
san francisco: hour and change
beach: 2 hours and change
