Have ever wrote a personal essay (an essay how you are a good candidate for being a student)? I have one to write for the Canadian Coast Guard college and I need help because I don't know how to write one. Could you guys give me pointers or an example?

Talk about something that has changed you as a person (typically bullshit). Your readers want to know what kind of person you are, what your values consist of, generally what makes you tick. I'd recommend thinking about times in your life in which you overcame a challenge or eluded conformitism.
