let me play it out for you
social gathering at an unamed "pros" house, first walking into a house with fifty people in it you can only hear "the dumont" talking shit, if he wants claim shit about skiing FINE , but when your five foot nothing and a buck thirty you dont talk shit to people you dont know, especially when there 6'3" and 180lbs
nor do you take a picture of your self with your phone and show the girl next you (who was thinking the picture would be of the two of them) and show her a picture of ONLY yourself (the dumont) proudly claiming " that is such a sick pic of me!" and continue to walk up to random people looking for aproval of your "sick pic" the dumont is a tool I'll be it a rich good skiing tool, but a FUCKING TOOL none the less

***Breaking News***
Burlington, Vermont
Up and coming freeskier Tanner Rainville has just signed a contract with the coffee tycoon, Starbucks. The move came after Rainville has been getting increased attention in the freeskier community. Starbuck's CEO, Howard Schultz says, "We feel that Tanner has a lot to offer our company. We believe that that there is a growing demand for over priced caffinated beverages and pastries in the skiing world and Tanner is just the one to push us to the next level."

its cool and all, and great, simon dumont is sponsored by target so people will get exposure to our sport... but how the fuck is target going to sponsor him. Give him some pillows and bed linens and make sure he rocks them in his next pic in freeskier's gear guide? Seriously, what group is target aiming for? The skier that has a taste for overpriced cd's and waffle makers?

BINGO!
I am completely confused as to why everyone thinks Dumont is the shit for doing the same thing Moseley is a douche for. To me, I think both made the correct decision. You can assume Moseley lost his passion for skiing, but, do you know him personally? How can you be sure he is completely over skiing.
Skiing is a life time sport, if you just ski. Hitting 100 foot tables shortens your skiing life significantly. Taking money when it's offered is called building financial sercurity. Too many more falls like Simon had last year will lead to the end of a career. That's just the nature of the sport.
