So I got a chance to really push last night and the 70'er was born. I left around 2:30 so I was a little delirious, but I think it looked pretty good. The weather isn't the best for hitting something that big but it's there and it will only get better. I put a tape on it to the nuckle and got 72' +or-. Hope you guys enjoy and if it's a little rough today don't worry I'll work on it some more tonight. Were also hoping to get the 60'er above it done by Saturday if there is enough snow. Thanks for the support.
the jump is so fun!! Is it really 70, we were thinking it felt more like 60, but jonas is the man with the tape measure. What is it's exact length as of sunday?
haha jex i love how you dont have time to take a shower before your formal frat meeting but just enough time to sneak in a post on ns........ and yea definaltly didnt feel like 70 feet, but hey maybe we are all sicker then we think
We went and taped it again on friday and its 73' exactly. I didn't think it looked 70' either so we double checked. I think everyone that hit or saw the 80' last year has big eyes and stuff looks smaller in comparison. It will grow as the season goes on and the 60' above it is almost done. Hope you like em'.
The table is so nice right now. I knuckled my first hit. There was a lot of that going on, but at least if you knuckled a certain spot it was semi soft.
I don't know how that posted before trick720 becuase I wrote it hours later. Anyways I tried to make it more like a table than a step so the knuckle wouldn't be so bad. I think it works better that way. Not so knarly on the knees.
yeah what the fuck's up with this order? ohh well the jump is still fun....there's not much Wu to it so you just kinda fly off of it.....really mellow.
Ya, made it more poppy friday night. Then it snowed and it seemed to flatten out again. Will just keep trying to dig out the gut of the lip for more ups. The landing is steep so we would like to match it. Oh well, powder tommorow!!
After it stops snowing were going to winch all the landings and pretty much rebuild the roo jumps. That should hopefully solve any overshooting problems. Ater that your on your own.
you start from the lift pole about 30 yards above the top jump (where the 60' will be) The you straight line, don't make any turns or speed checks unless you heart knuckles. speed could change though as conditions and the jump itself change. Just watch someone else hit it first, if you feel uncomfortable.
So the 65'er is done, the 70' is really 75' and it's gonna be sunny for 10 days. Better head to Alpine and bring your cahones. Also, Kangaroo and the small parks have been stacked up so the landing's are a bit longer and all the takeoffs we're rebuilt. Hope you like it. Also look for the wall to make an appearance this week. Maybe a wall jam on next Sunday. Whoohoo!!
i need to man up to those jumps, saw some sicness and some carnage on em today....speed didnt seem to be a problem as i saw some people touch the sky and sadly also saw someone get carted off after coming up short on the first one.
Side note, Im loving the last jump on the roo, so smooth.
