i have a couple hundred soungs on lime wire. i deleted them all. then my parents kept saying that it doesnt matter if i deleted them the government cant still track us down and "sue the shit out of us"

Your parents are probably between 40 and 50 and therefore DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT TECHNOLOGY. They are wrong. Not only that but they are paranoid conspiracy theorists. Furthermore, everyone who downloads music (probably close to a billion people worldwide) could be sued and consequently, no one gets sued. Don't worry about it.
