Ya hopefully they'll get some more jumps up (channel gap?) but start or keep on emailing them to put up all the rails and build new stuff, more park managers, whatever you want. - snow@mtbaker.us
so, i looked on their site and it looks pretty fun, but i want to know has anyone actually been hitting the channel? i'm heading up sunday for one last day.
i was there 2 weekends ago and its pretty sweet as far as baker goes. the only person i saw hit the channel was my friend, but it didnt seem that legit. he barely made it and air was minimal. from what i have heard the other jumps are fun.
saw 1 guy hittin the channel, but havent seen a trick over it yet. the park is the sickest its been all year. a total of 3 rails (you cant hit all of them in one run) and 5 boxes - which sadly is really good for mt. baker. 4 hips. 1 spine. about 2 big jumps (40ish id say). and some smaller/mid-sized jumps after that. the right jump of the channel is really fun, but the landing is kinda short. it looks long, but theres only 10-15 feet of steep landing and the rest is knuckle or sorta steep runout (thats hurts really bad to overshoot onto - i broke my 3rd pair of poles this year thanks to this)
