Randomly disconnecting from AIM

I've had this problem for about a year now. Whenever im on AIM it will disconnect after a while and reconnect or act like im connected when it is not. it is pissing me off. im running on dsl. ive tried looking up everywhere and everyone says tehey got the problem when they had a linksys router. i had one at one time, but a havnt used it in a couple years. i've tried reinstalling AIM numerous times and get the same result

dude i have the same fucking problem
i want to fuckin kill someone. it pisses me off so much. i has somthing to to with my house cause the it works other places. but the weird thing is that i can still go on explorer when its disconnect.

my aim logs me off. says it just closes down. and when i click re open it gets all fucked up so i have to close then restart aim. happens whenever i look at someones profile too.

Restart the I.P. address or see if there is a short in the wire connecting to the internet.

i have that same problem.. and a wireless router too.. but thats for my brothers computer in a different room.. i don't use it for my computer..

how do u restart the I.P.? i've cjecked my cables many times so im pretty sure it is not that. everything elseonline works fine except for aim.

does that to me too. but i have wireless internet in my house, so i think it's because it sucks in my room or something.
