Custom made outerwear?

its all about the 99cent one peice suits at home depot, you can buy one of every day of the week and design them yourself, they are pretty sweet

I can, but I'd charge you at least $400 for it...

Materials alone are stupidly expensive.

Between zippers, velcro, seam tape, membrane, liner, and tech fabric.

Then time spent pinning, sewing, ironing.

$400 seems about right.

Seriously.

10 minutes to pin a sleeve, 2 minutes to sew it.

I also hate ironing seams. Get something off by a few mil and you need to iron it out, refold, re iron.

thats why you just eye ball it like me and make semi low quality shit and then get pissed when it falls apart in 3 weeks and you do it again.

Maybe I should get into this....

In the summer I live by the LA wholesale fabric district and above a clothing company that lets me use their sergers when I want. That being said... would be far cheaper for me to try this in the summer.

or spend the extra time and do it right once? User a higher quality thread and a serger if you can. Makes a world of difference.

These actually look pretty sick they're just shells but I mean these are really cool, you can design your own pocket placement too. I like this. I'm going to do this. And they say 200-400 bucks that's not too bad.

i mainly do modification for hommes. make a sweatshirt taller. tighten up some pants. patch a hole. make a vest. wish i had a surger. really the only thing that rips is the crotch in pants after making them tighter.

You can do a slightly wider stitch as the main seam to put less stress on the thread, then use zig zag of the same size followed by a tighter straight stitch. Should add extra strength.

If i remember correctly, people were pretty stoked on them, at least enough for him to start the company. He warrenties them for 180 days,
