Question about setting the px12

I had a shop set my binding. However, it seems that the binding is set a little smaller. Each time i step in, the heel piece will slide backwards(i am guessing how they will release) to accomadate the boot.
Now my question is did my shop set the binding too small for the boot? If i move the binding back one notch, then the boot will go in perfectly without the heel piece moving backwards. Is the px12 binding supposed to be set so that the heel piece will slide back when you step in or should it be set so that it wont move when stepping in?

The forward pressure indicator on the PX12 is the window at the back. When it is set properly, the yellow bar should fall halfway along the window. But when I adjust mine like that it's really hard to get my boot in so I have them set one setting too light and I've had absolutely no problems with releasing. The heelpiece is supposed to move backwards when you step in on all bindings. As for the difference between the two bindings, your shop probably messed something up - take them back and ask.

OK, I read that wrong, forget that post above. You're saying it looks like the binding is set too small on both skis? Yes, the heelpiece is meant to move backwards on ALL bindings when you step in. Check where the yellow bar lies in the forward pressure window when your boot is in the binding. But like I said, when my forward pressure is set right according to the indicator, it is really hard to get my boot in so I set them down a notch on both and have had no problems.

yea, both the bindings on both skis are really hard to get the boots in. The heel piece moves back a lot, like more than my other bindings. Thanks for the advice, ill go check.
