VX1000 accessories

What are the essential accessories for a vx1000. Its my first pro camera I've been using a regular old one and have a tripod (crappy) and a wide angle lens for it. I want a death lens but those are somewhat hard to come by and I also need a pro tripod. Should I get a light too or anything else?

nah you dont need a light. especially if your filming at the hills. if your urbaning tho i suggest you get a few floodlamps and plug them into your car. you can buy adapters that you stick in the cigarette lighter slot.

What about a wide angle and filters? I also need a tripod anyone know of a good one?

I would say go for a Raynox MX3000 for a fisheye/wide angle...it barely distorts the image so it is pretty good, plus you can widen it...

i bought a raynox mx3000 fisheye lense for mine, it hasnt come yet so i cant say how good it is, but ive heard alot of good things about it, the death lense is wayyyy too much money to spend on a lense. go here http://forums.skateperception.com/index.php?showtopic=14326,
it shows how to widen it to almost as much as the death lense.
and yeah get a nice tripod and lights.

it probably doesnt matter which one you get, just spend more than 100 dollars and it will be good enough.

filters are all the same. you dont need one, although it would be handy to have a polarizer incase you have to shoot into the sun

you have to take the uv filter off for most lenses anways. You wont use any of the other ones.

Unless you are willing to throw down $700 for a century mk1 bayo The cheapest for best lens is a raynox mx3000 wideangle for $100 of b and H. like some kid above me said you can significantly widen it with a couple steps and some additional rings ( a lot more vinegretting though)

For lowlight shooting I have my bescor 50/100 mount light which works pretty good for lines at night when settings are tweaked with. The batery weighs like 10 pounds though

Everything above here is answered except the lens. Anyone have any luck adpating the lens like in the forum? I don't want to spend $100 and totally screw it up.
