What's with the lack of comps at wentworth and crabbe this year. I'm looking through the event calendars and there is dick all. There is NSSA stuff at wentworth, yet so it seems you have to be from NS and oh ya, a snowboarder. Why did park skiing getting such disrespect in the maritimes?

I think the obvious answer is lack of snow....It's the hills best interest not to post exact dates yet (at least Jan/early Feb) cause they have no clue what to expect for weather....

i dont know about wentworth, weather or not, it seems like crabbe is not taking much interest in building up their park. Whereas poley has an abudance of features in comparison to crabbe (one rail... even before the rain storms and very warm weather).

Crabbe has had one rail up since day 1. We were all set to begin construction of the park two weeks ago the day before the monsoon hit. We decided to wait out the rain so everything wouldn't turn into a hockey rink. The Ski Out is now closed due to a lack of snow, It's difficult to build a park without it. No Comps have been organized as of yet for two reasons. 1) No one has come to the table to put one together. 2) We don't have a functioning Park. Think Snow and Cold Temps and things will change.
I believe the same goes for Wentworth, they have one half width trail, kinda hard to hold a comp with no real estate.

March 18th is a date you can mark on your calendar for a wicked ski and snowboard slopestyle event at Ski Wentworth. The format is to be announced, but it'll be an awesome time for all. Hopefully by then, we'll have the goods to put together some wicked and unique features to help everyone take it up a notch.
Man, do we wish we could be working on the park or pipe right now... but instead we're trying to get more than half width on the sissy in order to accommodate our huge amount of school groups, snow school programs, Masters Ski Race camps, race clubs, etc. There is quite literally no more room than what we've provided for the small rail set up at the bottom of the Rosebowl. Unfortunate, yes. Deliberate, no. Lets all pray for an unprecedented dump and then start to work out the on-hill details.
See you all on the 18th.
