Is War Inevitable

Ok so for my english exam we've been told we are going to write an essay on the topic, "is war inevitable." I have some ideas on what i should write, but i was just hoping to get some thoughts from you fellow NS'ers

yes of course it is...throughout time, there has been both "evil" people and people who are against these "evil" people. case in point adolf hitler. there will always be people in the wolrd that are born that will become leaders who have the power to gain followers to allow something like the holocaust happen

think about it...all great "evil" people will eventually be the cause of a war, and are in the majority of cases, outstanding leaders.

Yea it is. That's like asking if peace is inevitable. But the real question should be, is a constant state of peace possible?

get the book "war is a force that gives us meaning" it tells us that war it a key thing in our existance and that it is necessary to sustain life or something like that i havent read it in a while

there will always be the random idiot that can rally a nation to condone mass murder/prejudice/incarceration/deportation and do what he envisions for the world.

I love getting these typess of assignments, this one I think will be pretty easy, I have some good ideas now. but my english teacher is so good, at the start of the year we were studying journalism. For the project to end the unit we had to design a magazine. I made a skate magazine with my buddy. By far the best project of my life. Keep your ideas coming, thanks.

there will always be war because people will always become fanatical about somthing i.e relgion. Sucide bombers, in iraq r told that if they blow up themselves they will go straight to alla. War you might say is a sense of peace for oneselve thinking your doing the right thing to help yourself or your people. Fighting for wat you belive in is what i am trying to say..we can't make everyone in the world belive in one thing, but alot of people try and will do anything to make sure it works...even tho it never does.
