I'm totally getting them. I saw them today and they're so ill. They're going to replace my '07 VCT's this spring. Has anyone else seen them yet? I'll post pics tomorrow.
totally, I'm scheming on some 183 '07 Gotamas to replace my 181 '07 Supermojo 105s as we speak... not to mention my '07 190 EHP's that should complete the quiver... after I get the SFB's in the fall of course.
out of the blend, bacon, and anthem which is the longest?? i wanna get a somewhat long ski to replace my 04/05 pollards...something softer so they're fun but long n fat to float...also stoked on the fat invaders for sure
the bacon is the longest out of the 3. i dont see why every one is fretting that the bacon is softer than the invader. the elizabeth is softer then the invader too and its sick as hell. if the bacon was stiff it would kick everyones ass anyways
yea but if ur savage enough to ride something like a 130 prophet ur savage enough to forget the brake and get a leash but bewhere of the ski bounching up at ur balls after its released!
anyway whats the deal with the softness of the sir francis bacon... i would think you would want a stiffer ski for big mountian... something that would hold up better when it gets extreme?
you do want a stiff ski for big mountain skiing. and i know for a fact line didnt make this ski for big mountain. that would be fairly stupid. the prophets do that job. the bacons are made for everything. perform amazingly in pow obviously, turn like a motherfucker because of the sidecut, and rock all mountain because of their shape, width and length. a very good all arounder, but definitly not a good big mountain.
"Sorry but there are no advanced pairs of the Sir Francis Bacon (2006-2007) model available in Europe for sale pre-season... place your order now for delivery in November 2006. Be one of the first to own this unique ski!" Thats for europe obviously but they dont even have them up on the US site
nah man sir francis bacon was some poet guy like a million years ago i looked for the ski on google and it was like sir T. francis bacon blah fuckin blah
He came up with the idea of Pangea and since the skis have animals all over them, they knew that the name Pangea was taken (k2) and found out that he also worked under queen elizabeth (the ski too) so it worked perfectly. straight outa pollard's mouth.
