depends i guess. i got my pe's centered this year, and i mean TRUE TRUE center, haha that was a fun idea, they are great for park but as soon as u try to ski anything but groomers ur fucked.
there is probably no more important thing that you can do to progress your park skiing abilities than centermounting, just do it. (well, having bigg hairy little friends helps).
i just centermounted my new skis and let just say after the first day i was questoning my decision. they are true center and it defiantely takes some getting used to. now that i have skied on them about 5 times, i can only say that i love them and it is the best thing that i have done. it will make you better
Me and my friend bought chronic minis for his little brother and we wanted them 2 cm past center, but the guy at the shop said he would be fucked if it wasnt center...but his brother isnt REALLY good. I mean, hes good for a nine year old but Im not sure on how he will take that mount.
go minus 2 cm. it's for sure the best way to go. you get all of the perks of a center mounted ski in the park, and it'll still ski well outside of the park.
It depends what skis you have. If you have PE's its not a great idea to center, better to 'core center' which is marked on the side of the ski... the more all mountain the ski is the not so great it will be centermounted, you can almost never go wrong with a -(1 to 3) cm's back from true center.
if you ski powder with a center mount you will have to lean back to keep your tips up, so you will look like you dont know what your doing and you wont ski powder well, but if your only in the park go for it
