I'm flying into edmonton in Feb and was thinking about going to Powder King, but its a bitch of a drive. Is there anywhere else around Edmonton (other than Marmot) thats worth going to for some good pow?

Powder King,is sick if they get snow, ive heard there having a bit of a rough season things may have changed though. Worth checking out atleast. Near Edmonton hmmm, Marmot obviously and I guess you could drive to Banff and hit up their hills.

If you're going to go to Powder King, try and make the additional day's drive to Terrace, B.C. where you can ski at Shames Mountain. Lift lines are almost nonexistant and we've only got two lifts (one chair, one t-bar at the top of the chair).
This weekend I skied-to-waist knee-deep fresh on Friday and was still skiing untouched snow on the following Sunday.
$27 for an adult lift ticket, I think.

Terrace is pritty fucking far from edmonton, like across an entire province pritty much. But it could be worth it for waist deep.
