Zero Spins

Alright, here's a dumb question. Why does everyone on here say "switch zero" spin? Doesn't just plain old zero spin imply that you're taking off switch and landing switch with no rotation? I mean if you were facing normal it would be called a straight air. Switch zero spin just seems redundant.
